As a boy Marshall Bond rode the open range driving cattle from Texas. As a young man he went to Alaska to search for gold in the Klondike. He roamed the deserts of Arizona and Sonora and boated down the Colorado River. Bond investigated silver mines and found himself fighting with Pancho Villa. In New Mexico he interviewed and photographed the survivors of Billy the Kid's gang and the Lincoln County War.
