Summary, etc | Drifter Jared Kane saves a man he finds dying in the desert, not realizing that it will change his life completely. For Foulard is obsessed with one goal: to get his hands on a fortune in buried gold bars. Being without food, water, horse, tools or gun, however, he needs help. Suspicious of the man, yet tempted by the lure of gold, Kane agrees to accompany him to the town of Armijos, near Santa Fe, where the treasure is hidden. But Foulard is being pursued by a dangerous enemy who claims the treasure map belongs to him - and then the Apaches launch an attack on the town. Kane must protect the inhabitants, while preventing Foulard and his adversary from escaping with the gold or slaughtering each other. It's a tall order, and Kane isn't sure he can fill it... |
