Charles “Chuck” Barrows was born on October 17, 1903 in Washington, Pennsylvania. He attended Carnegie Technical Institute’s College of fine Arts. He continued his studies at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and the Art Student League of New York City. He arrived in Santa Fe New Mexico in June of 1928 and became active in the art colony and produced watercolors for the WPA Art Project. He passed away on May 28, 1988 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
