Charles John Jellicoe was born on August 14, 1920 in Koehler, New Mexico. After graduating from Raton High School, he served with honors in the U.S. Army Air force as a photographer and camera instructor. He was a disabled American Veteran, after graduating form the Pittsburg Institute of Art, he assisted his brother John in Starting the Colorado Institute of Art in Denver. He returned to Raton to pursue his passion and career in Western art and leaves a legacy of hundreds of beautiful oil paintings, many in prominent art collections. He passed away on October 28, 2002 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
