Spanish Guiana is a land of intense poverty -except for those involved in the cocaine industry. MAMistas, a group of Marxist revolutionaries are willing to take any measure to unseat a leader who sits uneasily on his throne. But when oil is discovered in the region, the stakes are raised in this already vicious fight. Men in Washington believe it is best to keep the current government in power and three people will be drawn into a world of secret dealings and precarious alliances who will determine the outcome of the revolution.
