"An Avalon romance"--Jkt.

When Kay Merryman's grandparents pass away, they leave her their old-fashioned country store in their will. Kay must decide whether to move from the city where she lives in order to keep their bequest or to stay where she is to pursue her writing career.

Everyone wants her to stay and have a go at keeping up the store while bringing it into the nineties. She meets Lowell Boyd, the county commissioner and they find they share an attraction. Dwight, Kay's brother, however, carries great animosity towards Lowell. Lowell also stands in the way of replacing the low water bridge that keeps tourists from getting to the store. Can Kay get the headstrong Lowell to see the future as well as he clings to the past? Can she mend the bridges, both figurative and real, that stand in the way of their lasting love?
