I Married Adventure is a candid biography of Martin Johnson by his wife, Osa, who was his companion in adversity and in danger, and his valued collaborator in the wilds. It is also her equally candid autobiography. Although, once the pair leave Kansas, the scenes of the story are all over the world, it is as American a book as a book can be. Indeed it is an American success story.
