Modern-day cowboy on 13,000- acre McDaniel Ranch in Cimmaron, NM., uses two-way radio during cattle roundup. A ranch aircraft sports stray cattle in nearby and relays locations to cowboys equipped with Handi-Talkies. Modern communications have cut roundup time from a week to an hour, according to rancher Milton McDaniel, whose ranch in 60 miles long and 45 miles wide.
