Nick, his neighbor, witnessed the implacability of guests even after got a good entertain at Gatsby, and witnessed that Gatsby were struggling for extravagant flauntiness, and buried his love and dream deeply in his heart. The heart-wrenching ending of Gatsby presents Nick a disappointment to the extravagant life in east, which is like a collapsed tall building.
