Hank Denton, former private investigator and now charter boat captain in Mazatlan, Mexico, returns to Los Angeles to help his ex-wife deal with their daughter who is going off track. He also looks into the murders of two young Mexican citizens there, relatives of friends. But something doesn't sit right with him about the murderer's confession and subsequent suicide. The more Denton digs, the more the mystery deepens.
